Hey, HIJACK here, but playing with DoF on my new camera, and you have to excuse the lighting (bright today!), but take a look--I am slowly getting better, eh?

Dire, Cush, Bill & elb: Thanks guys--defn better than the little powershot...just taking me a while to try it all out...but, not nearly as overwhelmed as I thought I would be...the toads at night will be tougher, but thankfully, the plants hold still.

Edit! Duh...now realize you were simply getting the thread back on track!

As for me, two bro/two sis's...one sis, little, is a head, or was, not much any more...went from 77-89, lots of Greek shows, etc., and Oak. Gave me all her DEAD some yrs back (most was originally mine). Older bros were not, BUT did introduce me to them (they were into SF scene in huge way, and then saw CREAM at Winterland and became huge fans of them esp., but were never "one band" fans if you follow...).

I enjoy your cactus flower pix and look forward to the possibility of some toad shots with the new gear.

My brother introduced me to GD albums back in junior high (early 70s) and we saw shows together while at college 81 – 82. My three sisters never got into it, except to join my parents in worrying about my incessant traveling. My wife and I met on Dead tour, saw tons of shows together, even after settling down with two kids in Hawaii for two years. The day after our marriage we went to Giant’s Stadium and must have some kind of glow (long gone now) because we scored two miracles within minutes of parking the car. My girls have seen their fair share of shows, and although they were real young they do remember some bits.
(thanks for the opportunity to post way down here btw)

No, you absolutely did not...I am so dense though, I mean really...look at your post above, and then imagine me thinking it WAS about the photog discussion...weird, eh? I am just so glad no one saw it! Glad you liked it.

Not at all--it was embarrassing as all get out though--me asking "what do you mean?" etc., etc., etc. Pathetic.

Don't be embarrassed, you always know what's going on, I'm just happy when I find a thread where I even know what it's about ...

i really love the shot Senior Tell! Lighting can be very tough in bright conditions, especially when using a fairly wide open aperture. Forefront of shot has GREAT definition!!

Nice work imho!!
